Daylighting
strategies can be assessed using various tools and metrics. The Daylight Factor
within a space can be calculated to identify areas of the design that are in
need of supplemental light. In addition, exporting
the design into an accurate light-rendering engine such as RADIANCE, one can
determine more accurate illumination levels for any time of the day and year. Such computation can
be useful when working toward achieving the LEED’s requirement of minimum
daylighting within a space. |
